GQ 2 Legacy
-
The purpose of GQ² is to help fill the gaps that many entrepreneurs and small business leaders encounter along their journey. Building and sustaining a business can be rewarding, but it can also be challenging, isolating, and filled with unanswered questions.
My approach centers around developing customized plans, providing real-time guidance, and building strategies that support a clear vision. Drawing from my experiences and practical insight, I will help open doors, ask the tough questions, offer realistic solutions, and challenge you to push beyond their limits. "I keep the main thing the main thing."
This work is personal to me because I understand the frustrations and setbacks in business. My relentless drive to improve and succeed fuel me and my commitment to helping others navigate their journey.

Growing up, I was raised in a Christian home where faith, discipline, and service were part of everyday life. I earned the Eagle Scout award with the help of my father and mother, played sports on both recreational and school teams—many coached by my dad—and spent countless days working on the family farm. Following in my father’s footsteps, I became a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity where I give back to the community and young men. Each of these experiences helped shape the values of hard work, leadership, and brotherhood that continue to guide me today. Looking back, there was one particular period of my life that definitely shaped the man I have become.
During my early years, I rode a public bus across the city to attend a preparatory school outside of my community. While the experience provided a strong academic foundation, it also came with challenges. In many classrooms, I was often one of the only students of color and from very humble financial means. I navigated environments that were not always welcoming to me. Those experiences shaped me. They challenged me to raise the bar, not only for myself, but for the legacy I hoped to build.

GQ2 was created to carry that story forward and bring those values behind it to life. The name and logo are a direct tribute to my father, Grover Quinn, GQ¹. He taught me to keep your head up, lead with integrity, understand when to lead and when to follow, work hard, and never give up on your dreams.

The brand GQ2 represents the continuation of his legacy. If my father was GQ¹. I proudly stand as GQ², carrying forward the values he instilled in me while building on that foundation through leadership, business, community engagement, and meaningful dialogue.
More importantly, the legacy does not end with me.
Today, I am blessed to be a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and godfather—roles that constantly remind me that legacy is not defined by initials or a name alone. Although proudly, my two sons and two of my grandsons do carry the initials GQ. The vision behind GQ2 is generational. It is about creating a platform that reflects the hopes, dreams, and expectations that have guided my family for many years, and that can inspire those who follow us to continue building on that foundation. GQ2 represents the values, opportunities, and examples we pass forward. It is about family, purpose, leadership, and the responsibility to leave something meaningful for the generations to come.
